This monograph offers a new translation of Plato’s Meno together with a philosophical commentary. The commentary highlights the logical analysis of the arguments, but stresses at the same time literary aspects which make it probable that this dialogue was written with a Sicilian audience in mind. Taking into account certain comical elements in the dialogue, this leads to a new interpretation of positions usually attributed to the Meno.
