Since the publication of the 1st volume on Turbinidae in 2003, several articles have been published and yielded a lot of new information on the family as well as the different genera and species. The following species meanwhile were described and are now extensively figured for the first time within the Iconography: Lunella jungi, L. ogasawarana, Turbo (Senectus) angelvaldesi, T. (Maramarostoma) markusrufi, and T. (Turbo) walteri.
