Beschreibung

The first part of Vol. 155 deals with the species-rich southeast Asian spider genus Belisana Thorell 1898. Previously, the genus contained only two species. Nine species are transferred from Spermaphora, and 53 species are newly described. Alternative taxonomic options are discussed. In the second part, the author travelled through South America, Africa, Borneo exploring the different rainforests for 40 years. By this article the author wants to draw our attention to interrelations between the members in a rainforest community and gaps in our knowledge of topical animal ecology.
