Andreas Lehnardt presents the first German translation of the Tractate Sheviʿit (Sabbath Year) with a short commentary. Massekhet Sheviʿit is the fifth tractate of the first order, Zeraʿim (Seeds). It deals with Biblical Laws of Seventh Year according to Exodus 23:10-11, Leviticus 25:1-7 and Deuteronomy 15:1-3. The tractate provides a commentary to the Mishnah tractate of the same name.
